Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if this is something my family needs?

Is your child able to express his or her wants and needs?  Are you able to understand your child’s needs?  Do you know how to teach your child self-help skills or prevent him or her from having a tantrum? At Bridging Behaviors, these are situations we work with every day.  If you are unsure about any of these questions, behavior support is definitely something that could benefit your family.  Our system is set to up teach skills and train parents on how to take control of a situation.  We work to empower parents so the family does not need ongoing therapy.

How is this different from other types of therapy?

The services that Bridging Behaviors offers are unlike any other company.  We spend minimal time working with the child, and a considerable amount of time with the parent, staff, teacher, caregiver, etc.  Our model centers around the idea that you can have a Behavior Analyst at your home every day teaching your child skills or working with them on challenging behaviors, but if you don’t know what to do when that Analyst leaves, it does not benefit the child or family.

What disabilities and age groups do you work with?

We are open to working with individuals of any age and with any disabilities.  We approach and address the behaviors, not the diagnoses.  In fact, there is no diagnosis needed at all to pursue our services.

How can we get your services?

All that’s needed to set up a contract (we have our own if needed!)is to call 210-314-1545 or email bridgingbehaviors@gmail.com.
