What We Do

Parents, Caregivers and/or teachers, are you needing assistance with any of the following?

Communication?

Compliance?

Teaching self-help skills?

Socially appropriate behaviors?

Aggression?

For parents and caregivers, raising a child can be a tough job and sometimes it can feel like you are in it alone.  Educators may also face issues that can become difficult to manage. A child’s success or failure is often dependent on parent, caregiver and/or teacher involvement, never more so than for an individual with developmental disabilities.

Bridging Behaviors was established as San Antonio's first In-Home/Parent Training company. We teach parents, caregivers and educators Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.  Our focus is on giving tools to help cope with, understand and support their child or adult with intellectual disabilities.  We believe in empowering parents, caregivers and teachers; they spend the most time with the child and at the end of the day, are the ones who need to know how to work with and communicate with them.

All sessions take place in the environment in which behaviors are exhibited most - at home, in the community and/or in the school. Parents, caregivers and educators are taught practical solutions on how to interact with the child or adult by encouraging appropriate behaviors, preventing challenging behaviors and establishing effective communication systems.

Having a therapist that can provide techniques, tools and support can make a great bit of difference for the individual with developmental disabilities and their team of supporters as a whole. Our goal at Bridging Behaviors is to help parents, caregivers and educators better understand and communicate with their child.

We are the bridge between the parent, caregiver or educator and child or adult with developmental disabilities.
